FLAME Youth Fishing Program
Run by volunteer firefighters, the FLAME Youth Fishing Program allows disadvantaged youth to go on fishing expeditions on the San Francisco Bay. During the months of July and August, groups of 15 children depart from Fisherman's Wharf, with rods, reels, bate and tackle that are provided by the volunteer firefighters/fishing coaches. At the end of the day, the "catch" is cleaned and equally divided and distributed to the participants.
