The bravest act performed by a member of the Department during the meritorious period in the saving of human life, at the risk of the member's own life, while engaged in the performance of duty.

CLASS A

|
Class A Meritorious Conduct Award
The act under consideration must have been of a voluntary nature in relation to the saving of human life under the most adverse conditions and extreme personal risk. The recipient also receives a monetary award in the amount of $500.

CLASS B

|
Class B Meritorious Conduct Award
The act under consideration must have been of a voluntary nature in relation to the saving of human life under dangerous conditions and at great personal risk. The recipient also receives a monetary award in the amount of $250.

CLASS C

|
Class C Meritorious Conduct Award
The act under consideration must have been of exceptional character and associated with unusual ability, personal initiative and courage. The recipient also receives a monetary award in the amount of $100.

CLASS D
|
Class D Meritorious Conduct Award
Unit Citation & Letter of Commendation
The act under consideration must have been of exceptional performance beyond which is normally expected at an emergency situation, for recognition of a fire company, group or individual. The award takes the form of a meritorious plaque or certificate.

Public Recognition Award
To duly recognize any outstanding assistance rendered to the Fire Department by citizens other than members of the Department.
|
|
Fire Commission Medal
Posthumous medal presented to a member's family for death in the line of duty.
