      comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk.  The parade route is about 1 mile. Let's show

13: SFFD Auxiliary Water Supply System (AWSS) tour, Thursday May 13, 6:00pm,
      SFFD Pump Station 2, foot of Van Ness Ave @ McDowell
      Don't miss this rare opportunity to see the AWSS, a network of storage systems and pipes that allow
        firefighters to access streams of  incredibly high-pressure water to battle major blazes, whether it is a
        greater alarm fire or the widespread fires that may occur after a major earthquake.  Completed in 1913, the
        system is still active today.
