WHAT: San Francisco Fire Department participation in a Make-a-Wish Foundation recipient's event.
Wayne Hester is 14 years old and is battling a life threatening illness. He is traveling from Georgia to have his wish of seeing San Francisco granted. He will be accompanied by his Mother, Father, older brother and two younger sisters.
Chief of Department, Joanne Hayes-White will be greeting the family on Treasure Island, where Wayne will be dropped off by a CHP Helicopter. After the warm welcoming ceremony, Wayne and his family will be taken to the Golden Gate Bridge in a SFFD Fire Engine.
WHERE: Treasure Island @ the end of California Avenue, pass the Hangar to the Helicopter Landing Pad.
