WMD Multi-Agency Exercise - August 1, 2008

Weapons of Mass Destruction Multi-Agency Exercise
On Saturday, August 16, 2008, a comprehensive Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Exercise will be taking place in downtown San Francisco. Beginning at 555 California Street, a simulated terrorist event will provoke response from local agencies. As the scenario develops, outside agencies will be requested to respond and assist with the investigation, mitigation, rescue and recovery aspects of the incident. As the initial incident unfolds, a secondary incident will occur at #1 Post Street.
This exercise is being coordinated by the San Francisco Fire Department with the cooperation of local and outside public and private agencies. The response and actions will be critically evaluated by an Evaluation Team based on various Agency Objectives.
The observation period will be from 10am until 1pm on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Various dignitaries have been invited to attend.
