The Academy of Art University and the San Francisco Fire Department unveil a historical mural by student artist Zoe Arnold at SFFD Headquarters.

San Francisco, CA—Academy of Art University students recently embarked on a floor-to-ceiling hand-painted mural inside the SFFD headquarters to honor the rich history and legacy of the city's Emergency Medical Services. The mural, designed by AAU School of Fine Arts student Zoe Arnold, will be unveiled at 9 a.m. PT on Friday, May 16th, at 698 Second Street, San Francisco. Located in the rotunda lobby of the fire headquarters, the 13-foot-high mural will offer visitors a window into the department's rich history of emergency medical services and contributions. The mural, funded in part by personal contributions by members of the SFFD and SFFD employee affinity groups, will be a visual tribute to the courageous men and women who have served in the San Francisco Fire Department throughout its history. The San Francisco Fire Department and Academy of Art University members, including student artist Zoe Arnold, will be available for interviews and comments after the unveiling ceremony
