Ramaytush Ohlone Land Acknowledgement
The San Francisco Fire Commission acknowledges that we are on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone who are the original inhabitants of the San Francisco Peninsula. As the indigenous stewards of this land, and in accordance with their traditions, the Ramaytush Ohlone have never ceded, lost, nor forgotten their responsibilities as the caretakers of this place, as well as for all peoples who reside in their traditional territory. As guests, we recognize that we benefit from living and working on their traditional homeland. We wish to pay our respects by acknowledging the Ancestors, Elders, and Relatives of the Ramaytush Ohlone community and by affirming their sovereign rights as First Peoples.

Report on current issues, activities, and events within the Department since the regular Fire Commission meeting on July 8, 2026, including budget, academies, special events, communications, and outreach to other government agencies and the public.
Report from Administration, Operations, Sayumi Brannan
Report on the Administrative Divisions, Fleet and Facility status and updates, Finance, Support Services, and Homeland Security.
Brief Out Report from Operations, Deputy Chief Patrick Rabbitt
Summary on the Operational Divisions, including greater alarm fires, Bureau of Fire Prevention & Investigation, Training within the Department, and Airport Division since the last meeting on July 8, 2026.
5. Update on Community Assistance Recovery Empowerment (CARE) Court [Discussion]
Judge Russell Roeca and CARE Court Program Manager, Charlie Newcomb, LCSW, to provide an update on CARE Court issues affecting the San Francisco Fire Department.
6. Update on Sulforaphane Study [Discussion]
Dr. Jeff Burgess to present results of Sulforaphane Study commissioned by the San Francisco Firefighters Cancer Prevention Foundation (SFFCPF).
7. Update on the Community Paramedicine (CP) Program [Discussion]
April Sloan, Assistant Deputy Chief of Community Paramedicine, to provide an update on the CP program.
