San Francisco Fire Department 130th Class of Entry-Level Firefighters to be Sworn In

San Francisco, CA – San Francisco Fire Department Graduates 40 Entry-Level Firefighters and 4 Firefighter-Paramedics.
On Friday, November 18th, 2022, Fire Chief Jeanine Nicholson will administer the Oath of Allegiance to 44 Entry-Level Firefighters. 4 of the 44 are Firefighter Paramedics, and 2 are EMTs from the Department’s EMS Division and will enhance our Engine-based Paramedic services.
“This group of probationary firefighters has completed a rigorous 20-week Fire Academy,” said Chief Nicholson. “Within the next several days, all will report to their new station assignments, marking the beginning of their year-long probationary period.”
The 130th Academy is a diverse group of individuals, including several military veterans from the United States Army, Navy, and Air Force, a boat safety instructor, a personal fitness trainer, a Watch Maker, as well as EMTs, Paramedics, Firefighters from other jurisdictions, several people in the trades.
This ceremony represents the next step forward in a rewarding public safety career for these graduates.
