Station Holiday Decoration Competition
San Francisco Fire announces the 3rd annual Fire Station Community Holiday Decorations Competition
San Francisco, CA – During the 1940s, stations would compete for the best decorations and best-decorated stations for the Holiday seasons. This tradition was lost in the 1950s, and we brought it back during Covid to promote goodwill. Firefighters and their respective stations are encouraged to participate and get creative!
The decorations should be festive and represent all the traditions around goodwill and giving. The station members pay for the decorations and events. The winning stations will get a prize to donate to a San Francisco-based charity that they choose.
Stations will be judged on the following criteria:
- The visual presence of the Station
- Involvement of neighbors with lights and decorations
- Community engagement event (Block Party, lights viewing, etc.) On 12-21-2022 from 5–10 pm
- The use of local shops for the Community event
The San Francisco Fire Credit Union is sponsoring the following:
1st place — $1500 To be donated to the charity of choice
2nd place — $1000 To be donated to the charity of choice
3rd place — $500 To be donated to the charity of choice
