Sample Owner's Statement (Building Owner)

This requirement applies to all buildings with 3 or more dwelling units.

If resident fails to complete the Resident's Statement within 20 business days of receiving the Tenant Fire Safety Disclosure Information, the owner shall complete the Owner’s Statement.

The Owner’s Statement confirms the date resident received the Tenant Fire Safety Disclosure Information and that the Resident’s Statement was not received within 20 business days.

Copy of the Owner’s Statement shall be provided to the resident 5 days after its execution.

Copies of Owner's Statement shall be retained for at least two years.
