Tony Rodriguez was appointed to the San Francisco Fire Commission by Mayor London Breed on January the 16th, 2020.  

My name is Jose Anthony Rodriguez Jr., but many people know me as Tony.  I am a born and raised San Franciscan who grew up in the Excelsior District.  I am first generation born in my family, my father came here at 18 years of age from the Territory Puerto Rico and my mother was from Mexico coming here when she was young.  My family consists of my parents and three younger siblings.  My wife and I have four daughters and have raised them here in Bernal Heights. 

Over the years I have always been involved with community groups, in my school, my daughters’ schools, church parish council, Executive Board from Local 483. I have always believed that to effect positive progress you have to be involved from within and my hope is to continue to be involved through this commission.
