NERT Full Training

NEW NERT Training:  Are you new to the NERT program?*

This highly anticipated in-person full NERT training consists of 6 sessions over the course of 6 weeks on Wednesday evenings. NERT Training is free to anyone who lives or works in San Francisco.

All participants must attend all 6 sessions in order to graduate the NERT program. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn bout disaster preparedness and gain crucial skills!

NERT Training Course Outline:

Session 1 - Wednesday April 26, 5:30-9:00 PM

Class 1: Earthquake Awareness, Preparedness, and Hazard Mitigation 

Session 2 - Wednesday May 3, 5:30-9:00 PM

Class 2: Types of Fire, Hazardous Materials/Terrorism Awareness, Utility Shut-off 

Session 3 - Wednesday May 10, 5:30-9:00 PM

Class 3: Disaster Medicine

Session 4 - Wednesday May 17, 5:30-9:00 PM

Class 4: Light Search and Rescue

Session 5 - Wednesday May 24, 5:30-9:00 PM

Class 5: Emergency Team Organization & Disaster Psychology

Session 6 - Wednesday May 31, 5:30-9:00 PM

Class 6: Hands-On Skills Application, Course Review, and Graduation

The location is the SFFD Division of Training (DOT) at 19th and Folsom. Parking at the DOT is limited.
