NEW NERT Training: Are you new to the NERT program?

This highly anticipated in-person full NERT training consists of 6 sessions over the course of 6 weeks on Wednesday evenings. NERT Training is free to anyone who lives or works in San Francisco.

All participants must attend all 6 sessions in order to graduate the NERT program. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about disaster preparedness and gain crucial skills!

Session 1 - Wednesday February 21st, 5:30-9:00 PM
Earthquake Awareness, Preparedness, and Hazard Mitigation

Session 2 - Wednesday February 28th, 5:30-9:00 PM
Types of Fire, Hazardous Materials/Terrorism Awareness, Utility Shut-off

Session 3 - Wednesday March 6th, 5:30-9:00 PM
Disaster Medicine

Session 4 - Wednesday March 13th, 5:30-9:00 PM
Light Search and Rescue

Session 5 - Wednesday March 20th, 5:30-9:00 PM
Emergency Team Organization & Disaster Psychology

Session 6 - Wednesday March 27th, 5:30-9:00 PM
Hands-On Skills Application, Course Review, and Graduation

The location is the SFFD Division of Training (DOT) at 19th and Folsom. Enter through the chain link gate at 19th and Shotwell. Take care to avoid firefighter training activities. Parking at the DOT is limited. NERT parking is at the back of the lot, against the back wall.
