SF Ready is a 90min class offered by SFFD NERT instructors to the public on the basics of Disaster Preparedness.

Here are the main topics the SF Ready Class goes over:

  • Potential Disasters in San Francisco
    • Earthquakes, Tsunamis, etc.
  • Preparing yourself and your family
    • Checklists, Go-Bags, and evacuation / reunification plans
  • Protecting your family and your home
    • Structural prep, utility safety, fire safety
  • NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Team)
    • Role in response, map your neighborhood
  • Additional resources, readings, etc.
