WHAT: San Francisco Firefighters will be practicing firefighting skills and rescue operations at 492, 45th Ave from May 3rd to May 7 th and May 10th to May 14th from 9 am to 3 pm. This opportunity will allow our members to practice many techniques to save lives and minimize property loss, such as Vertical ventilation, building construction familiarization, garage door safety, and opening techniques, roof rescues, and more.
WHEN: May 3rd, 4th, 5th,6th, 7th, and May 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th,14th, 2021
WHERE: 492 45th avenue, San Francisco, Ca. 94110
WHY: San Francisco Fire Department faces unique challenges in carrying out its firefighting operation, given the City's large number of old, wood residential buildings, high population densities, diverse topography, and zero lot line separation on many of the City's structures.
This partnership and opportunity allow us to provide the citizens excellent customer service through training on structures that we will encounter before the incident occurs.
VISUALS: The San Francisco Fire Department will make every effort to inform and explain to neighborhood and community members about our presence during this event. We will be making noise consistent with construction and firefighting operations. We encourage the local neighbors to call 415-660-0545 if any noise impacts your daily routine or if you would like to view and obtain an explanation of what we are doing.
