The purpose of the hearing is for the Department to receive public comment on the newly proposed revision of the following Administrative Bulletin:

Existing - Administrative Bulletin 4.05

Proposed - Administrative Bulletin 4.05


The Fire Marshal will call for public comment on the proposed Administrative Bulletin and all speakers interested in commenting on that Bulletin must speak at that time.  Members of the public may speak for up to 3 minutes per Bulletin.  When all speakers have finished commenting on the Bulletin, the Fire Marshal will close the comment period.  The Department will be recording the hearing.

Fire Department personnel present at the hearing will not enter into debate or discussion with any public speaker.  The lack of a response by Department personnel does not necessarily constitute agreement with or support of any comment provided by a speaker. 

Members of the public may also submit written comment on any newly proposed Administrative Bulletin. The Department must receive any written comment by no later than 9:00 a.m. on October 5, 2016.

The Department will consider all oral and written comment provided on the newly proposed Administrative Bulletins, and any additional changes that may be necessary, and prepare final versions of the proposed Administrative Bulletins.  The Department will present the final proposed Administrative Bulletins to the Fire Commission for approval.  The Department will include a transcript of the public hearing and all timely received written comments in the materials presented to the Fire Commission.  The Department anticipates presenting the final proposed Administrative Bulletins to the Fire Commission at its regular meeting on October 11, 2023.
