April Sloan

Operations Section Chief - Community Paramedicine

Section Chief April Sloan has 25 years of service in EMS, with experience in rural and urban environments, and has worked for volunteer, private and municipal agencies. She has an AS in Emergency Services and holds certificates as a community paramedic and tactical paramedic. She is the co-chair of the EMS Leadership Committee and Career Development Workgroup and continues to participate in the EMS Tactical Committee, peer support, and is the team lead for CIRT4. April is a member of NAMHIP, NCRC, IPSA, NTOA and NAEMT. After 16 years in the ambulance, April became a community paramedic and joined EMS6 as a captain, and is now the Operations Section Chief for the Community Paramedic Division.
