Styger joined the NERT Advisory Board in 2021 after six years of helping in the NERT Office with SFFD's NERT, Disaster Corps, and Medical Reserve Corps programs. Styger has been involved in emergency response as either a volunteer or professional going back to Hurricane Andrew in 1992, and most recently has served on SFDPH's COVID-19 Task Force, as well as the National CERT Association's Board of Directors. Styger enjoys spending time in nature, audiobooks, lifting heavy things, and fiber arts.
